Early in their career collaboration, firm founders Harriett B. Wimmer and Joseph Y. Yamada were commissioned to provide landscape design for the initial phase of Sea World Marine Theme Park in Mission Bay, San Diego, California. The landscape design focused on a botanical garden set within the marine park environment. This design became a template for future Sea World parks located elsewhere.
