Wimmer Yamada and Caughey provided landscape design services for the redevelopment of the eastern portion of Mesa College. The design encompassed a realignment of the main east campus entry, a new parking garage, police station and allied student health building (all pursuing Silver LEED Certifications.)

Specifics:

  • Design of two new pedestrian promenades to provide needed improvement for pedestrian circulation between parking areas and central campus
  • Sustainable landscape improvements including native re-vegetation of the adjacent Tecolote Canyon using native and indigenous plantings
  • Water conserving irrigation design with weather monitoring control technology for optimal water efficiency
