Wimmer Yamada and Caughey provided landscape planting, irrigation and hardscape design for the new playground and improved park amenities at the existing Mountain Empire Community Center located in east San Diego County.

Specifics:

• Two age appropriate playgrounds for 2-5 year olds and 5-12 year olds
  
• Fabric shade structures over playground equipment provide relief from seasonal temperatures
  
• ADA compliant design includes resilient rubber surfacing in play areas, high/low drinking fountains, picnic tables, park benches, trash receptacles, etc.
  
• Design included site grading, stormwater management and drainage systems(SWPPP)
