Wimmer Yamada and Caughey provided landscape design and final plans for the initial construction phase of California State University San Marcos which is located on a beautiful hillside in northern San Diego County.

Specifics:

• Initial phase included main entry drive, campus entry stairs and student plazas
  
• Campus parkway features over 100 Tipu trees which create a striking promenade
  
• Craven Hall showcases a grand entry staircase and water feature
  
• Landscape features a drought tolerant plant palette including arid flowering trees and shrubs and is complimentary to the natural character of the surrounding hills
