Wimmer Yamada and Caughey provided initial master planning and thereafter full design documents for the 33-acre Alga Norte Community Park located in Carlsbad, California.

Specifics:

• As prime consultant was responsible for entire project design, project subconsultants, coordination and communication with City of Carlsbad
  
• Facilitated all community input public workshops
  
• Final plan details include an aquatic pool complex, playgrounds, softball fields, basketball courts, skateboard park, off-leash dog park, picnic areas, and a large central turf area for events such as Carlsbad’s summer concert series
  
• Aquatics complex will include a competition pool, instructional pool, children’s pool and heated therapy pool
