Originally designed by Irving Gill, and once home to La Jolla’s prestigious Scripps Clinic, this adaptive re-use project consisted of renovating an existing historic structure into 47 luxury condominiums – many with magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean. Wimmer Yamada and Caughey’s role, as the project landscape architect, was to provide landscape and garden design for a series of internal courtyards, and to preserve and enhance the historic landscape encircling the property.

• Interior courtyard areas include intimate theme gardens reminiscent of early San Diego residential estates and private gardens
  
• Wimmer Yamada and Caughey provided the masterplan and final design for landscape and hardscape areas including paving, stairways and water features
