China Travels
Wimmer Yamada and Caughey’s team travelled to China in November last year for an onsite design workshop for mixed-use development projects in Quanzhou and Xiamen, along the South China Sea. It was a great opportunity where WYAC brought together a group of international designers under one roof. The design team was comprised of a retail architect, aquatic and theme park designer, residential architect, golf course designer and cruise ship terminal designer. The intense onsite workshop focused on the geographical, cultural and social challenges presented by the two sites.
